Admission Requirements
- Admission is open to government, non-government, and international applicants.
- Applicants must possess:
- An MBBS degree or an equivalent recognized by the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC).
- Completion of a one-year internship.
- Registration with BM&DC.
- Additional requirements as specified by UARIB.

Admission Process
Applicants must complete the admission form and pay at least 25% of the fees upon admission. Qualified candidates are interviewed and accepted until the class capacity is reached.

Course Profile (DMU): This program covers Ultrasound Physics, X-ray Orientation, CT and MRI Scans, Abdominal Ultrasound (including GIT, Adrenal Gland, Appendix), Gynecological & Obstetric Ultrasound, Small Parts, Basic Color Doppler USG, and Basic Transvaginal Ultrasound (TVS).
Program Structure: The DMU spans 12 months, with four semesters of full-time theoretical coursework, intensive practical training, case reporting, and a final examination.
Certificate in Medical Ultrasound (CMU)
This three-month certificate course is a fast-track program aimed at producing skilled sonologists. Combining didactic and practical training, it prepares graduates to provide primary care ultrasound services within modern healthcare teams.
Course Profile (CMU): Topics include Ultrasound Physics, Liver, Gallbladder, Pancreas & Spleen, Renal, Bladder & Prostate, Uterus & Ovaries, Early & Late Pregnancy, Amniotic Fluid & Placenta, Abortion & Ectopic Pregnancy, and Thyroid & Breast Ultrasound.
Program Structure: The CMU is a 3-month program, featuring 12 theoretical classes (24 hours), 12 practical sessions (24 hours), and 2 slide sessions (4 hours).
